About Us

The Chippenham Centre opened in September 2003 by Grace Loftus and has quickly established a reputation locally as a centre of excellence, not only for helping children who are struggling at school but also for those who are not being challenged and for those preparing for SAT's, GCSE and 11+ entrance exams.

Grace has been a Teacher for ten years, latterly as Head of Chemistry and Head of Upper School at a prestigious private school in Gloucester. Grace is ably assisted at Chippenham by a hand picked team of qualified teachers who bring a wealth of teaching experience, covering all school ages.

We are conveniently situated on the High Street, which is pedestrian only until 7.30pm, with ample free parking nearby for picking up and dropping off.

What We Do

 Each prospective student is invited to attend a free assessment at the centre which enables us to understand the individual's strengths and weaknesses. This then forms the basis of the tuition programme and also gives the student and parents the opportunity to see the centre, meet the staff and decide whether or not they wish to enrol.

Students are taught in small groups, with each teacher working with a maximum of five students in each session. We teach English, Maths and Science from KS1 to GCSE, with the emphasis very much on building confidence and self-esteem. The results are such that, not only do we get a lot of recommendations from existing students and their parents, but also from a number of local schools.
