Kip McGrath at Smithbrook Kilns, Cranleigh is now registered with OFSTED as an activity based childcare premises. This means if you are issued with Childcare Vouchers by your employer you can use them as part payment or if you are eligible for Working Tax Credit you can claim back up to 80% of the cost of tuition. Tuition costs may be as little as £5.50 per session.

THE DIRECTOR OF THE CENTRE

Jane Johnson has a BEd Hons Degree from the University of Surrey where she focused on Numeracy and Literacy. She has considerable experience of teaching at Primary and Secondary levels in both the Maintained and Independent sectors. Until recently she was Deputy Head at St Hilary’s School in Godalming and she has also worked as a School Inspector.

Jane says: ‘Parents frequently asked me how they could help their children so I was delighted to find the Kip McGrath education programme and to set up the Centre in June 2004. I know how important it is for children to feel confident and to succeed. Many also need work which maintains motivation and may provide a challenge. I aim to ensure that the pupils enjoy learning in every session.’

THE TEACHERS

All the teachers in our Centre are fully qualified, professional and experienced teachers. Each teacher has been selected for their sensitive and empathetic attitude towards children and for their love of teaching. They receive specialised Kip McGrath training before they begin their teaching in the Centre and are fully referenced and police checked.

THE CENTRE

The Centre is conveniently located at Smithbrook Kilns on the A281, South of Bramley. There is a large free car park and the area is well lit at night and very safe. It is a short drive from Cranleigh and Godalming.

The spacious room provides a tranquil yet stimulating learning environment. There is a comfortable waiting area and supermarkets and a Leisure Centre can be found in Cranleigh.
