About Us

The Enfield centre is conveniently located on Chase Side in Enfield, a short walk or bus ride from Enfield town centre, and an even shorter walk from Gordon Hill mainline station. Our parents enjoy the lack of traffic congestion and ample parking space in this location.

The centre has been open since 2005 and the new centre director, Shaaron Kingston, extended the opening hours in September 2006. Shaaron has over 12 years teaching and tutoring experience across both the Primary and Secondary Education age ranges. Her experience at teaching across a range of subjects and with pupils from a variety of backgrounds and ability levels, leave her well placed to help all students at the Enfield centre to progress.

All teachers at the centre are well experienced in Primary or Secondary education in England and will have sound experience of the National Curriculum requirements for England. They are fully trained in the Kip McGrath teaching methods and, of course, have undergone CRB checks (police checks).

 

What We Do

The Enfield centre caters for children from a range of ability levels who are receiving tuition for a variety of reasons. Some of our students are high attainers and we challenge them so that they can achieve even better results. Other students have simply “fallen behind” with their work and are in need of support and encouragement to give them the confidence and enthusiasm to learn and to continue to progress. Of course we also tutor students who are working towards a specific goal, for example, Entrance examinations, SATs or GCSEs.

The Kip McGrath centres use a tutorial system which incorporates a series of computer based programmes and carefully structured worksheets and textbooks. The programmes have been successful in helping children to tackle problems with reading, writing, spelling and Mathematics for over 25 years. There are now over 500 centres worldwide (a good number of these being located in England). All pupils follow an individualised learning programme which is designed to meet their own specific needs. They are given homework each week and each week parents are offered feedback as to their progress for that session.

  • From Southbury Road
    • Go West on SOUTHBURY ROAD/A110
    towards WILLOW ROAD.
    • Turn RIGHT onto WILLOW ROAD.
    • Turn LEFT onto PARSONAGE LANE.
    • Turn RIGHT onto CHASE SIDE.
    • Turn left onto Gordon Hill. The gravel car park is on the immediate left adjacent to the church.
  • From Edmonton
    • Start out going NORTH on HERTFORD ROAD/A1010 toward BOUNCES ROAD.
    • Turn LEFT onto BURY STREET.
    • Turn RIGHT onto GREAT CAMBRIDGE ROAD/A10.
    • Turn LEFT onto SOUTHBURY ROAD/A110.
    • Turn RIGHT onto WILLOW ROAD. * THEN FOLLOW DIRECTIONS FOR “SOUTHBURY ROAD” ABOVE.
  • From Forty Hill
    • Start out going SOUTHWEST on FORTY HILL towards OLD FORGE ROAD.
    • Turn LEFT onto OLD FORGE ROAD.
    • Turn LEFT onto RUSSELL ROAD.
    • Turn RIGHT onto CARTERHATCH LANE.
    • Turn RIGHT onto MYDDELTON AVENUE.
    • Enter next roundabout and take the 1st exit onto BAKER STREET.
    • Turn RIGHT onto LANCASTER ROAD.
    • Turn LEFT onto CHASE SIDE.
    • Turn right onto Gordon Hill. The gravel car park is on the immediate left adjacent to the church.
  • From Hadley Wood, Hadley Road
    • Start out going EAST on HADLEY ROAD toward RIDGE CREST.
    • Turn RIGHT onto THE RIDGEWAY/A1005.
    • Turn LEFT onto LAVENDER HILL.
    • Turn RIGHT onto GORDON HILL.
    • The car park is at the bottom of the road on the right, just before Chase Side.
