About us 

 Kip McGrath Centre Grays is situated in the heart of Grays, adjacent to the High Street with ample car parking facilities located nearby.

The first floor accommodation provides a wealth of educational resources including three teaching rooms which are comfortable and contemporary and each equipped with individual work stations and computers. A cosy, relaxing reception room is also available to parents who want to wait while their children are being tutored.

The Centre which opened in September 2007, is jointly owned by Shola Alabi and Rachel Osinaike. Both are UK trained, fully qualified, CRB checked teachers. They have taught for several years in schools around London and in the local area and have since been providing tutorial support to children who need help with their school and homework 

We have been tutoring for the last 3 years and have seen excellent results from our students in SATs, GCSEs, 11+ and private school entrance exams as well as success academically in both Maths and English.   

We are passionate to see children gain confidence in themselves and come to a point where they are enthused about learning.

Having worked with children over the years, we understand that children will succeed if they feel safe and valued, therefore at our centre we create a positive, relaxed and professional learning environment where children of all ages feel welcome and comfortable to learn.

The Kip McGrath Grays Staff

Our Centre is staffed by fully qualified CRB checked Teachers who have a wealth of experience ranging from Primary to GCSE's and they are well trained in the use of our teaching materials.

All teachers at the Grays Centre are well experienced in Primary or Secondary Education in England. All of the staff have a Criminal Records Bureau check (Enhanced Disclosure) and teach in schools so have experience of the National Curriculum for England and Wales. They are fully trained in the Kip McGrath teaching methods, materials and programs.

What We Do

Kip McGrath Education Centres have helped thousands of children achieve and exceed academic targets all over the world for over 25 years.

 At Kip McGrath we use a tutorial system based on a series of computer and audio based programmes, integrated with structured worksheets and textbooks. The programmes have been successful in helping children overcome problems in spelling, reading, writing and Mathematics. The pupils follow individual learning programmes. Some of the work is aimed at a specific exam, for example; 11+, Private School Entrance exams, Scholarship, SATs or GCSE

At Kip McGrath we offer affordable, expert tuition in Maths and English for children 5 - 16 and we pride ourselves in giving unique service to parents, which include:

•  free diagnostic assessment for your child;

•  individual education plans;

• fully qualified experienced teachers;

• structured learning materials including computer-based programmes;

• on-going assessment so you can accurately measure your child's progress;

• a strong emphasis on motivation and success;

•  lesson times after school and at weekends.

Each child is given a free assessment prior to starting, parents concerns are established and the results of the assessments are discussed confidentially.

Tutorials are conducted in the Centre, after school hours.
Each Kip McGrath tutoring session is 80 minutes (1 hour: 20 min)

No more than five students are assigned to each tutor at any time. Students are provided with a computer to assist with their learning.
