About Us
Kip McGrath Milton Keynes South opened in July 2007 and is situated on Simpson Rd, Fenny Stratford. Parking can be found behind the building or in the street in front of the centre. The centre is easily accessible via Saxon Street (V7), Bletcham Way (H10), Watling Street (V4) or the A5. Tesco, Matalan and B&Q are just some of the shops nearby, so parents can do their weekly shopping while their children come for tuition. The centre is in the chambers of The Old Court House building and is light and airy, which allows students to feel relaxed and comfortable during their lessons.
The Centre Director, Augusta Marais (B.Bc. Cert.Ed), is a fully qualified teacher with several years teaching experience in Milton Keynes.
What We Do
At Kip McGrath we provide professional tuition in maths and english for children aged 6-16, with a wide range of abilities. Lessons take place after school Mondays to Thursdays and on Saturdays.
After carrying out a free assessment we will know exactly where to start your child’s tuition. If you decide to enrol them, they will have their own programme worked out to address their specific needs. They will then come to the centre once a week for 80 minutes. Each child has their own work space, with computer, and they will do a mixture of written and computer work.
Children look forward to coming here each week and are really motivated to succeed. This is mainly due to the way we teach at Kip McGrath. Teaching takes place in small groups of up to 5 children. They are therefore encouraged to become independent learners while having someone at hand to support them and explain any difficult concepts. They are also never in competition with other children, as each child is set work for their own individual needs and are only moved on once they are ready.
We aim to provide a relaxed, friendly and motivating learning environment where children feel comfortable and happy. This gives them the confidence they need to make real progress and achieve their full potential.
