About Us

The Kip McGrath Education Centre in West Watford opened in May 2004.

It has all the facilities of a modern tuition centre and is specially designed to be an inspiring place where your children will want to attend and learn.

The Centre Director is Lindsey Baron. She is a qualified teacher with over 20 years experience of teaching in primary, secondary and special schools. Her successful career has included roles as class teacher, Head of Dept, SENCO and Assistant Head Teacher. 

What We Do

Lessons take place after school and on Saturday mornings. Students are taught in small groups of up to 5 pupils. The lessons are highly motivating to the students as each lesson is planned for the individual child.

We carry out a free assessment in order to identify the needs of your child and to advise you how we can help. Unique, interactive computer programmes and audio resources are used alongside structured worksheets and workbooks. Lessons are therefore varied and interesting.

The sessions last for 80 minutes and are designed to enable your child to remain focused, make steady progress and ultimately succeed.

Confidence and self esteem improve, resulting in happy children and happy parents.
Progress is carefully monitored and students are assessed regularly.

What we offer...

We provide professional tuition in Maths and English for children of all abilities from age 6 to 16.

We provide help for your child if they have fallen behind at school or if they need extending. We also provide quality tuition for students aiming to reach a specific goal, eg. Key Stage 1, 2, 3 SATs, GCSE, 11+ and school entry exams.

Your child's success is important to us, and we will do all we can to help them achieve it.
